My client is a leading boutique commercial property consultancy based in Central London. The team specialises predominantly in the industrial warehouse market however the firm is a general practice business that is involved in retail, licensed and leisure markets both in terms of agency and Lease Advisory roles. They work with a range of clients including PropCo’s, Pension Funds, Developers and Investors.

Due to an increase in workflow, the team are now looking to hire a Surveyor within their Lease Advisory Team. This opportunity will enable you to work on a variety of exciting instructions, including but not limited to, acting on behalf of several well-known industrial landlords. In this position, you will gain experience in a broad range of asset types with a bias to industrial, both with single assets and portfolios.

This is an opportunity for you to further your contacts, experience, and knowledge within a best-in-class property consultancy.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing L&T advice to a range of clients
  • Reading and Summarising Leases
  • Prepare pre-negotiation reports / settlement reports
  • Undertake inspections of properties
  • Prepare Heads of Terms
  • Negotiate generally on behalf of landlords
  • Identifying possible additional instructions/fee earning opportunities
  • Report writing
  • Reporting to clients and senior colleagues
  • Analysing key data and extracting salient information
  • Utilise relevant internal databases to track and share client information where appropriate
  • Assist with preparing proposals, pitches and marketing literature to a high standard
  • Build strong working relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identify and process opportunities for cross-selling and providing additional services to clients


Required Qualifications:

  • MRICS qualified
  • Proficient in valuation software, specifically with Excel, Argus Investor and Argus
  • Developer
  • Possesses vision and ability to develop strategies and solutions
  • Self-starter, who is highly motivated and relishes challenges and strives for the best
  • Strong team player builds relationships and consults with others, quickly establishes trust and credibility
  • Robust and prepared to lead from the front
  • Diplomatic and challenging with the ability to influence others
  • Have the ability to generate business from existing and new clients
  • Excellent attention to detail, be well organised and a good level of initiative
  • Strong verbal, numerical, analytical and report writing skills
  • Understand the components of various methods of valuation
  • A good understanding of the London property markets with strong commercial awareness

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary plus benefits, plus bonus
